About Limpopo Tourism
The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) was established in terms of the Northern Province Tourism and Parks Board Act 8 of 2001. The mandate of the LTA is to promote, foster and develop tourism to and within the Limpopo Province.
To position Limpopo as a leading tourism destination in Southern Africa.
To promote and offer a sustainable and diverse tourism experience through strategic marketing (destination marketing) and support and facilitate tourism development programmes, collaborations with stakeholders and sector transformation
The purpose of this program is to provide capacity to the entity to deliver on its mandate. The program is subdivided into three subprograms as follows: Monitoring and evaluation: the subprogram aims to ensure effective and efficient monitoring of the performance of the entity.
The purpose of this program is to market Limpopo as a leading tourism destination to domestic, regional and international markets This program is divided into two subprograms as follows: Destination Marketing Services: this sub-programme aims to market the province. Destination information Services: to provide information to tourists and a point of contact.
Internal Audit and Risk: the subprogram aims to provide risk management and compliance services
The purpose of this program is to ensure sound financial management and accountability in the entity. This program is divided into two subprograms as thus: Financial Management: the subprogram aims to provide sound financial management and accountability in the entity. Supply Chain Management: It aims to provide a procurement system, which is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective.
