Elizabeth Hunter Studio
per person
The Waterberg has inspired many artists over the decades. including Pierneef, Naude and Coetzee, and Elizabeth Hunter draws inspiration from the very same vistas, landscapes and rural scenes as the talented artists have before her. A descenedant of the the pioneer Davidson family, of Twenty Four Rivers, Elizabeth lives and works on the farm, which dates back to the late 1800’s.
As an artist who has a gift for painting landscapes, pastoral scenes and portraits, Elizabeth prefers to work in watercolors and oils. She captures the raw beauty of the Waterberg – her magnificent muse. Elizabeth has also found increasing inspiration in portraiture, and also gives lessons to local children once a week.
Her work can be viewed at her studio, which she has restored in the E.A. Davidson Memorial Farm School, which is located near the Church of St. John the Baptist. Her artworks are for sale, and you are welcome to make an appointment to meet Elizabeth in person, to view and discuss her art.
