LETABA RANCH PROVINCIAL PARK
per person
Situated a few kilometres north of Phalaborwa, Letaba Ranch covers just over 42.000 ha. Incorporated into the Greater Kruger National Park Conservation Area, Letaba Ranch is well known for its large herds of elephants and buffaloes. Here travellers can also view hippos and crocodiles on the banks of the mighty Letaba River. The African Ivory Route tented bush camp Mtomeni is on Letaba Ranch, but the game reserve is also open to day visitors for game drives in open vehicles. The gates are open daily from 6:00 to 18:00.
How to get there: The reserve can be entered via a gate within 10 minutes drive from Phalaborwa. To get there, take the Gravelotte road out of town. Turn right to Lulekane township and follow the tarred road to the big Cobra Polish billboard. Turn right here and follow the road past the soccer stadium to the entrance gate of Letaba Game Reserve.
